Shortlisted for Wedding of 2017! – Rudding Park Wedding Photography

Katie & Aaron got hitched in June of this year and I wanted to share their beautiful wedding photography images with you.

It was the perfect summers day at Rudding Park, Harrogate in June, almost too hot actually, the UK were usually going through a bit of a heatwave. Water in hand and short sleeved shirt on, myself and second photographer, Dean were eager to photograph Mr & Mrs Hunts big day.  The overall look – simple and elegant, “I wanted a clean fresh look with white and sage green colour theme. Our venue, Rudding Park is very clean and modern with quirky touches such as the library, which has a unique character and bright colours, we loved this”, Said Katie.

As part of the Your Yorkshire Wedding competition, the couple were asked, “Were any of your suppliers particularly helpful?”

All our suppliers have been amazing and made our dream day come true and there wasnt anything that we were disappointed with. So glad that we booked Collette at Picture Perfect for our wedding photography, she captured the day perfectly including details and photos of guests that we didn’t expect. She made us feel at ease and relaxed, which shows in the end result.

“What was the best bit of advice you received when planning your big day?”

The advice given by Jonathon our Best Man was to step back at look at what we have achieved.

When I arrived to photograph bride prep, Katie and her bridesmaids were still in the bridal suite getting their makeup done and so I set about capturing the little details of the rings, dress, flowers, invitations and makeup (post foundation and blusher, always!).

Across the hotel, Aaron was being photographed by Dean, putting on his final touches along with his groomsmen in the bar area (usual suspect place for a groom on a wedding day).

Don’t you just adore the bridal suite at Rudding park? I love taking wedding photos here because I do always quite simply get the most stunning bridal prep images. I love the decor and the space, space is important for wedding photos and also in fact for the bride getting ready. There are usually lots and lots of people around the bride on a wedding day, and so the space is always welcome.

“What did you enjoy most about organising your wedding?”

Choosing my dress with my sister, mum and step mum. I loved knowing that we would bring all our family together, the whole planning process was done as a team and wasn’t stressful at all.
